ABCittà and 4iS

We first met in 2015, taking part to the first edition of the program Tandem Europe. Together, for 18 months, we developed a project aimed at exploring social impacts in museums, both in Italy and Portugal. Since then, we have shared many ideas, meetings (!) and workshops around Europe reflecting upon solutions to actively contribute to change through museum action.

ABCittà is a no-profit organization based in Milan and founded in 1999. Its members are professionals experts in participatory design and planning processes. ABCittà operates in different areas, on a local, national and international level. The work with museums deals mostly with audience accessibility, inclusion and interpretation, with long expertise in museum staff training. Stereotypes and prejudices’ deconstruction has been a subjects of research and practice for many years, since a strong experience with the project Human Library (Biblioteca Vivente di ABCittà) and the more recent diffusion of  a free anti-stereotype kit (available in Italian only).
